PAL 1
Description: I attended the IAEA conference in St. Charles, IL, where I attened numerous sessions about lessons, tips for the classroom, and new artists to incorporate into the classroom.

Rationale: These sessions helped to prepare me for my upcoming first year of teaching by providing ways to improve my classroom and the curriculum I will be building.
PAL 2
Description: I had the opportunity to attend an opening reception for an exhibition at The Coffeehouse in Uptown Normal. The students that displayed their work are in a class this semester that gives them the experience of being a working artist and curating shows.

Rationale: Attending this exhibition not only allowed me to support some of my peers, but also talk with students about their process from start to finish, with setting up their exhibition.
